My Kitfox was certified by the FAA on 11-15-96. It
weighed in at 518 pounds empty. I did the first test
flight.
I had read about the taxi speeds versus accidental
flight and elected to line it up on the runway center
line and give it full throttle. It flew great but had a
heat problem. I added an oil cooler, spring gear later
on, wheel pants still later on and other amenities still
later on. I repainted the cowl with a diffrent paint
scheme. The aircraft now weighs in at 656 pounds empty.
It is a joy to fly. I have approximately 285 hours on
the tach.
